Many of you will already know the procedure, all dogs having won a CC in the previous 12 months are invited to take part and the Committee has been most grateful for the support of all the winning owners over the past years.
Three Championship Show judges go over each dog individually without consultation with each other and mark their placings on cards. From these placings points are awarded to determine the winner. No dog is placed in line at any time and only the first four places are announced.

All dogs taking part are worthy winners of their Challenge Certificates and there will be no losers at this event.

Each dog is given a Special Rosette, a Commemorative Plate, a small monetary award for the owners to celebrate or drown their sorrows and the Winner's Portrait is placed in the Club album as a permanent record. The winning dog is also featured on the front cover of the magazine "The Bulldog", which has a circulation of over 1600 and is sent to countries all over the world.

The event has become one of the most prestigious in the bulldog calendar and we welcome many overseas visitors and exhibitors from other breeds, many of whom return year after year on a regular basis to enjoy the spectacle.
The event is fully reported in the dog papers, it is also professionally captured on video and DVD. These are available within three days - cost £17.00 for UK buyers but they are also available on any world format required at a small extra cost to cover the increased postal charge. The morning Show is always well attended. This is followed by Lunch and the B.O.Y.competition takes place in the afternoon.
